This rebrand project is for a 2024 thriller film centered on a papal election, known for its surprising plot twist in one of the most serious events in human society. Audiences expect the promotional design to preserve the secrecy of the story while offering a visually compelling experience that sparks intrigue. To reflect the film’s dramatic tone, the rebrand uses black and red as its core colors, enhanced by tonal variations and a collage-like texture to achieve visual vibrancy. Drawing inspiration from the voting ballots used in the election, handwritten type and serif lettering reminiscent of Roman churches play a central role in the visual identity, guiding the communication of information throughout the campaign.
